Stewart Morris, Jr. serves as Vice Chairman of Stewart Information Services Corporation (SISCO) Board of Directors and in that role serves on the Executive Committee, the Technology Committee, the Sales Council and as Advisor to the CEO on strategy and operations. Mr. Morris works with major customers and business partners to enhance company financial performance.
Prior to November, 2011, Mr. Morris served as President and Co-CEO of SISCO and President of Stewart Title Co. for 20 years. He was responsible for the affiliated title offices, real estate information companies and technology companies. Under Mr. Morris’ direction, SISCO became a real estate information industry leader in technology for productivity and e-commerce as well as a host of settlement services needed to close real estate transactions.
He was the recipient of the “2001 Outstanding Achievement Award” from Settlement Services Today; was named to the “100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders in 2006” by Inman News; and was the recipient of the “2012 Joe Casa Innovation Award” awarded by October Research.
Today, Mr. Morris serves on the Board of the American Land Title Association, Carriage Association of America, Oldham Little Church Foundation and is Chairman of the Carriage Museum of America. He enjoys coaching rugby, driving horse drawn vehicles and flying.
Mr. Morris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University in 1971 and received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas in 1973.
