Elisabeth is the CEO of Newser, a news curator with a kick. Newser’s editors hand-pick the best stories from hundreds of U.S. and international sources and summarize them into sharply written, easy-to-digest news briefs.

Prior to Newser, Elisabeth led CreditCards.com, which she created by acquiring the assets of ClickSuccess in Austin, Texas, and Freedom Marketing in Colchester, UK. Previously, Elisabeth was CEO of Ilife.com, which she transformed into Bankrate.com. She engineered the turnaround of the company, driving exponential growth and creating $450 million in shareholder value. Bankrate was acquired for $560M by APAX in 2009; in 2010, Bankrate acquired Creditcards.com.

Prior to Bankrate, Elisabeth was a member of the management team of Hoover’s during its IPO under the leadership of then CEO Patrick Spain. Elisabeth spent a decade as chief marketing officer for Bloomberg LP – working directly for the founder Michael Bloomberg – where she was instrumental in the formation Bloomberg News, Bloomberg Radio, Bloomberg Television, Bloomberg.com, Bloomberg Magazine and the Bloomberg Book Division.

Elisabeth serves on the board of directors of ZipRealty, Edgar-Online and All-Star Directories. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School and a cum laude graduate of Wellesley College. She is a member of the Committee of 200. In 2008, she was named Working Mother of the Year.
