John Heithaus
John Heithaus is MRIS’ Chief Marketing Officer. He leads the marketing department, including marketing operations, sales operations, product management, partnership marketing, customer service, and customer retention and branding. He also leads MRIS’ media and industry relations, advertising, interactive programs, communications, as well as market and customer research.
John, a third-generation real estate professional, brings over 30 years of progressively responsible executive experience with national real estate firms including Prudential Real Estate (SVP Partner and Product Development), Realogy (VP Strategic Alliances and Real Estate Services), Monster.com, (Chief Strategy Officer and SVP of Business Development and Marketing at their successful start-up Monstermoving.com) and, most recently, SVP Sales, Marketing and REALTOR® Alliances at SentriLock. He also was co-founder of several very successful startup companies, including Certified Closing Network, which was sold to First American in 2005, and TAOW Marketing, an experiential event management and management consultancy firm.
He graduated from Iona College, with a BS in Business and has completed graduate level executive programs at the University of Texas, Austin, Northwestern University and, most recently, the International Business program at Georgetown University’s McDonough Graduate School of Business.
John is a former (and currently active) professional musician and is engaged in supporting charitable endeavors at the local, regional and national levels including The REALTOR® Foundation, Toys for Tots, the Red Cross, Sunshine for HIV Kids and others.
He is a frequent industry speaker and presenter for organizations including Inman News, The National Association of Realtors®, RIS Media, The Appraisal Institute, Worldwide Employee Relocation Council,
