Jessie is a Founding Board member of SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization), the search marketing industry’s largest global non-profit organization.  Jessie has been a guest speaker and moderator at numerous industry conferences worldwide including ad:tech, The O’Reilly Web 2.0 Summit, Stanford’s Web Publishing Workshop, Search Engine Strategies, Danny Sullivan’s Search Marketing Expo, WebmasterWorld’s PubCon, The MarketLive Ecommerce Summit, and Shop.org.

Jessie’s pioneering work on click fraud has been featured in numerous trade publications and media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Newsweek, Wired Magazine, The Washington Post, and CNET.com, as well as on NPR and the BBC.

In addition to her search marketing duties, Jessie has been engaged as an expert witness for numerous search and internet related litigation matters involving trademark, copyright, patent, affiliate, SEO and PPC issues.

Jessie began her search engine optimization career as a consultant in Massachusetts in 1997; shortly after moving to Los Angeles in 1999, she started Alchemist Media, Inc, an SEO company now based in San Francisco.
