Innovator Award Selection Process
1. Each year, Inman News announces the launch of the Inman News Innovator Awards with a call for nominations at least three months before the annual Real Estate Connect San Francisco Conference. Nominations are submitted online by those seeking an Inman News Innovator Award or by others wishing to nominate another company or technology. The nomination process includes a questionnaire in which participants in the process answer questions about the company or technology and specify the category which they believe is applicable. This process is designed to provide adequate information about the company, individual or service so that the nomination can be properly evaluated.
2. The Inman News Innovator Review Team reviews the nominations and selects a list of finalists in each category. The finalists are selected from both the nomination process and a list of other prospects suggested by the Inman News editorial team, based on their knowledge and familiarity with the real estate industry and its related technologies.
3. After the finalists in each category have been announced, the Inman News Innovator Review Team reviews the finalists and votes on the winners. Finalists and winners are selected based on a broad definition of innovation in their respective categories. The categories in which finalists and winners fall ultimately are determined by the Inman News Innovator Review Team.
4. The winners are announced at Real Estate Connect Conference in San Francisco.
