David grew up in La Grange Park, Illinois and later went to high school in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. He graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Literary Studies. He and his wife left New York City for Minneapolis, eventually settling in Urbana where they and their cats have resided since 1996. In addition to playing drums, he has also helped produce shows and arrange tours for local bands and can be found chipping his way around the U of I Golf Course on his days off.

David began his career as a residential appraiser in 2003. In 2004 he acquired his real estate license and has since gone on to be a multi-million dollar seller. He prides himself on being a different kind of agent. His hands-on, one-on-one customer-service approach is a refreshing change in an industry that is becoming more and more dominated by staffs, teams and assistants.
